Investment Story: The Link REIT

We added The Link REIT as one of a core components in our equity portfolio. The REIT possesses and manages a portfolio of 180 properties, of which most of them are retail facilities providing approximately 11 million square feet of retail space in major shopping centers in public housing estates. These facilities serve some 40% of the Hong Kong population and satisfy their daily needs.

The manager of the REIT demostrated strong execution power in modernizing the legacy shopping centers in their portfolio. While we are benefited from rising rental income as an investor, the users of the shopping centers can enjoy better shopping experiences as well. Better management also means the resources in our community can be used in a more efficient way.
